Digi Volunteers of Tamilnadu e-Governance

The Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency called for a meeting with its volunteers, called Digi Volunteers.

The very first meeting convened by Mr.Santosh Mishra, IAS Commissioner of e-Governance at Government of Tamil Nadu, was held on 26th Nov, 2019 at TNeGA office. It was a wonderful first meeting of around 15 enthusiastic TNeGA Digi Volunteers. We had extensive interaction on various areas of e-Governance, where volunteers can make a significant impact.

Some of the expectations from the Digi volunteers from TNeGA were:-

#1 Propagate various e-seva services of Tamilnadu Government to teh citizens across the state.

#2 Do an usability test of all the portals of the Govt and offer suggestions and improvement points.

#3 Visit the nearby e-Seva centres and share the experiences with the team

#4 If technically sound, participate in the e-Governance projects in a pro-active manner.

Before initiating the very first meeting, team TNeGA created a Kaizala group and added the digi volunteers. Also now a new logo is created for the volunteer group.

After attending the digi-volunteer meeting I have come out with a mind-map on the e-Sevai services offered by Tamilnadu Government. This will help to easily propagate the e-services (more than 100 services). Instead of browsing through a long list of services in a linear manner, I thought a mind-map would give a complete visibility in one view.

I hope to actively contribute as a digi volunteer. Looking forward to the next set of actions.
